The Oklahoma City Thunder and the City of Oklahoma City marked the official groundbreaking of the Continental Coliseum in downtown OKC, beginning the transition of the site into the future home of the Thunder and other events.
With the ceremony taking place on an active site, CNS supported the event production with audio, planning, logistics, and site drawings, working with the Thunder and the City to make the most of a tight footprint and timeline. Production was built over the city streetcar line, which had to be shut down for the event, limiting the full window from load-in to load-out to just 12 hours. Streetlights and other city infrastructure also had to be incorporated into the site plan.
Within that 12-hour window, the CNS team kept everything moving, giving the Thunder and the City the space they needed for the groundbreaking, along with media content that captured the significance of the day.
