When the University of Oklahoma made the decision to leave the Big 12 and join the SEC, the moment called for more than an announcement…it called for an experience.
Hosted inside the historic McCasland Field House, the evening served as a ceremonial gateway into a new era for the university. The venue carried its own legacy, which meant traditional production setups were limited. Instead of forcing the space to change, we worked with it.
CNS provided scenic design, production management, audio, video, scenic projection, and content creation for the event. Given the historic nature of the building, we leaned into environmental projection to shape the atmosphere using the architecture itself as a canvas to reflect the university’s history while pointing toward its future.
The result was an evening that felt rooted and forward-looking at the same time. A celebration of where OU has been, and a confident step into what comes next handled with care for the space and the significance of the shift.
